Fatboy Raceworks Rally Team Scores Trophy At 2005 Dryad Quest Rally

Driver Kris Dahl and co-driver Ed Dahl set out on June 4th to complete their first rally in a Production Class Integra GSR.

The team and car are still early in development, but proved they do
have the speed to compete for the class leadership.  The team
finished the 69.83 mile long Dryad Quest rally with a total time of
1:33:04, averaging 45.0 mph over rough gravel terrain.  They
finished 3rd in Northwest Region Driver Class 3 and 6th place in
Production Class, just 1 second behind the 2nd and 5th place finishers
respectively.

Oregon Trail 2005

Tuesday, April 26th, 2005

The debut of the Rally Integra was this weekend at the 2005 Oregon Trail Rally in northwest Oregon State.

We had a bit of a rough outing. We bowed out of Friday’s spectator stages in order to gain additional preperation time for the bulk of the rally which took place on Saturday and Sunday. A mistake on Saturday put us off the road, and due to circumstances beyond our control weren’t able to compete in Sunday’s stages.

2004 Dryad / Shitepoke ClubRally

Thursday, June 24th, 2004

Day 1 was going along quite well, having no major problems except for a
rock taking out one of the rear brake lines.  Steve Perret (the
elder) was a valuable resource in service, helping us cauterize the
wound and continue.

Eventually we came to a left hander and ended up locking up all four
(would have been all ‘three’ if we didn’t have a welded differential)
and going straight and down into a culvert/creekbed, rolling the car
onto the roof.  Didn’t damage much beyond pride, we were able to
right the car, drag it out of the gully and continue under our own
power back to service.

2004 Oregon Trail ProRally

Friday, April 30th, 2004

Oregon Trail is a ProRally/ClubRally dual event, located near Portland
Oregon.  Features a lot of seat time and high speeds.

We did fairly well on day one, finishing 9th of 13.  Welded rear
differential was a big help  On the day 2 we were doing even
better until we came to a tricky off-camber right hander, and stuffed
it into an embankment, breaking the left front suspension.

2004 Rally Season Opener: Doo Wops

Thursday, March 11th, 2004

The season’s first rally was a major sucess: we finished both
days.  Certainly got more comfortable with the car over the course
of the weekend, were starting to set decent stage times.  Finished
10th out of 11 in class on day 1, and 6th out of 10 on day 2.

The open differential on the car seems to be the biggest problem that we’ll need to address.

Read on for photos and results!
